NUR 214 - Introduction to Nursing

This course introduces the theoretical framework that enhances the student’s appreciation of nursing science and promotes the development of professional values essential to excellence in practice. Emphasis is placed on assisting the student in promoting and maintaining essential life functions across the life span. The nursing process is used to develop the students’ ability to assess the bio-psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of the client. Prerequisite(s): BIO 201, BIO 201L and MAT 121 or MAT 122
