3 cr.This course will provide a comprehensive view of the field of immunology. Emphasis will be placed on the composition, function, and responses of the immune system. Practices on immunological techniques used in clinical diagnostic and research laboratories will also be discussed. Three hours per week for lecture-discussions. Prerequisites: BIO 203 and BIO 203L, BIO 305 and BIO 305L, and CHE 112 and CHE 112L. Co-requisite: BIO 401L. This course may only be offered every other year.
